Adrienne Carmack MD

Director, Medical Affairs, BD Peripheral Intervention

Dr. Adrienne Carmack is a Director of Medical Affairs at BD, supporting the Peripheral Intervention business unit. Dr. Carmack joined BD nearly five years ago after two decades of clinical practice. She began her medical career by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology from Boston University, graduating summa cum laude at the age of 19. She graduated from the Texas A&M University College of Medicine with honors at age 23 as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her general surgery internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and her urology residency at the University of Miami. Since joining BD, she continues to volunteer as a urologist at a free clinic in her community as well as with a support service that provides primary care providers at charitable clinics with access to medical specialists for advice and support regarding patient care.

Dr. Carmack primarily uses her clinical medical and communications expertise at BD to support the Medical Safety and Medical Communications functions, working closely with Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, Clinical, and Physician Training teams. She supports a broad range of medical devices, including brachytherapy, biopsy, endovascular, and central venous access.
